TOPSOIL & MULCH

Quality Topsoil & Mulch

Mulch is the term used for a variety of both organic and inorganic products which are applied to your garden as decorative ground cover, as a soil improvement, and to conserve water usage. Wood mulch comes in a number of varieties that feed the soil as they decompose, improve the look of your garden, and help retain soil moisture all at the same time. Mother Nature has her own way of mulching the woods by spreading a nice layer of leaves every fall. Of course, we don’t do that here. Instead, we provide a wide range of wood-based mulch to choose from. Here’s a list of the most common types, and why you should choose these mulches for your landscaping needs. The success of your outdoor living space and landscaping begins with quality topsoil that creates a sound foundation and enables growth.

1 cubic yard of mulch will cover approximately 150 sq. feet at 2 inches deep.

Topsoil & Mulch We Carry

Enriched Pulverized Topsoil

Our enriched topsoil is a 50/50 blend of nitrogen rich compost and topsoil. The blend we offer creates a perfect soil for retaining water, and supplying valuable nutrients to plants, trees, and grass.

Double Ground Hardwood Bark Mulch

Double ground hardwood bark mulch is one of the most popular mulches because it looks so great once you put it down. It is also an excellent choice when it comes to water conservation, since it provides a solid barrier against moisture evaporation.
The shredded bark will not only trap moisture in your flower beds better than large chips, but since it decomposes quicker, it more readily adds nutrients to the soil as well.

Golden Cedar Mulch

Golden cedar mulch is the cream of the crop. Because cedar mulch has natural oils in the wood that repel insects it’s the perfect choice for wood mulch, especially in areas where termites are common. The cedar can gray on top over time, but an occasional light raking will bring that glorious gold color and fresh cedar scent back to the top.

Colored Mulch

Colored mulch has become our most popular mulch alternative. It’s composed of wood chips or shredded wood that has been dyed brown or black. If you are particular about the appearance of your landscaping, colored mulch is the way to go. The eco-safe dyes are colorfast and retain their color through multiple seasons. One important note about our dyed wood. Unlike others, we don’t use dye to hide the condition of poor wood that can contain foreign matter you don’t want in your garden. It’s the same top-quality wood, dyed to match your specific aesthetic.

Wood Chips & Playground Mulches

Wood chips & playground mulches are functional and natural wood mulches to help reclaim an area for safe play or walking. Ask for help picking out the right product for the right application.
